The "Welding Training to International Standards" program aims to provide a comprehensive 3-month welding training program in Ghana, with collaboration between CPI Training and Regional Maritime University. This initiative is designed to equip participants with comprehensive welding training that meets Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) standards, and the needs of industry in Canada and around the world.
Program Overview:
Students will be trained by CPI internationally certified welding instructors in RMU’s state-of-the-art welding facilities. RMU boasts two fully equipped welding facilities able to train students in all welding applications. RMU is the only CWB test centre in all of Africa.

Welding & Fabrication I
- Safety and health hazards in manual arc welding - 4 hours
- Measurements and measuring devices - 8 hours
- Introduction to basic applied metallurgy - 12 hours
- Introduction to blueprint reading and sketching - 20 hours
- General outline of manual metal arc welding - 8 hours
- Manual arc welding (Flat Welding in different positions) - 80 hours
- Safety in Oxy-fuel gas welding and oxygen cutting - 4 hours
- Gas welding - 10 hours
- Welding distortions - 4 hours

Welding & Fabrication II
