Program Synopsis

Investigate the fundamental concepts of logistics strategy, organization and analysis of logistics systems. Explore the strategic issues contributing to transportation, inventory and location management decisions. Assess the need for globalization of the company's operations and how to benefit from government regulations related to international logistics. You will utilize a number of case studies to review and apply your knowledge.

The Global Logistics and Sourcing Program runs for 10 days. For 6 days participants will be taking classes at Grant MacEwan University and staying in their corporate residence in downtown, Edmonton Alberta. There they will have access to aquatic and gym facilities, recreation centre and library. Participants can choose to stay in a corporate guest room or a bachelor suite with a kitchenette (depending on availability at time of booking the program).

In addition, participants will travel by luxury coach to Canada's Rocky Mountains, visiting our famous Banff and Jasper resorts and touring the magnificent Columbia Ice Field.

Finally, participants will visit Vancouver British Columbia, a vibrant and energetic city that draws millions of visitors each year, for the Reposition 2010 conference, where they will attend industry relevant sessions and workshops at one of the industry's foremost learning and networking events.

The price for the 10 day program is $7,500 USD (plus gst at 5%) and includes:
